chicks that don't match my hens?

Hello , I am new to posting on here and have been going through Google trying to figure out a few things on my chicks, if y'all could help with better advice that would be amazing . So I have 9 hens and a roo , and I hatched 8 eggs in oct and in picture I have about 3 all black chicks one I believe is a roo but I have 0 all black hens . I figure I have a comet roo, 2 barred roos and a buff brahma roo and the rest are hens. I am still not 100 percent right on what is what on the breeds. Any help ia appreciated.

Barred EE roo(Modified Pea Comb)

1 Barred Rock hen

2 Brahma Hens

Maybe a few AmberLinks

A RIR hen

& possibly a Buff Orpington hen.

Your Barred Easter Egger is Single Barred, which means he can produce black chicks, & some barred chicks.

If he was Double Barred you'd get 100% Barred chicks.

The barred rooster in the picture is a mix and probably has a single copy of the barring gene rather than two. As a father, he would only pass on the barring gene to half of his chicks rather than to all of them, as a pure barred rock rooster with two barring genes would. Depending on the breed of the hen he was crossed with, he could easily create all black chicks because barred chickens are black chickens but the barring genes give them the white markings. So half his chicks will be barred and half will be black unless the mother is herself barred or has the gene for dominant white.
