Chicks to got or cold???

I wouldn't feed them the alfalfa yet just because they are so young and you don't want anything to impact their crop. You don't need that kind of trouble so early in life.

I thought about that yesterday, i haven't given them anymore. I will wait until they get older and start it off as a treat. I figured since they love it so much that wwill be a great treat to tame them. Thank you for you're reply

I used a lamp at night for maybe a week and a half on my newborns. Switched to 14watt heating pad and some variety boxes to let them control there temperature for day and night. Also had bedding in there. I was careful though to ensure they were utilizing each other and there boxes to keep warm. I would suggest using a heating pad with the temperature conditions you have, that is if you have one. Saves money, teaches them babies to nest up, and its allows them to have a normal night cycle.
