My two barred rock chicks toes are curled under and have a hard time walking so I seperated them from the rest of the chicks because the others just walker over them. They seems a bit more active since the seperation so thats one good thing. That being said I'm still wondering what to do about the curled toes, should I splint their feet or just let them be?? Help!!

Super glue them to a piece of cardboard. It'll fall/wear off in about a week and their toes will be fine

yes and it worked like a charm. the glue wears off and the cardboard will fall off and toes are normal.

This little chick hatched with curled toes too. I cut little circles out of card stock and taped them to the bottom of her feet with sport tape. They fell offf within 3 days and her feet are just fine now.

AWWW see chicken shoes are cute too! There are many ways to do it. I tried the tape first but it always had to be reapplied. Super glue was made for skin application originally to close wounds rather than stitches. So I opted for that and it works great.

trunkman hope your chick gets better in a few days!

We had a chick born with a serious case of curled feet and ankles that refused to bend in the right direction.

We tried the cardboard flippers, dimes and more shoes but the only thing that worked were pipe cleaner "chick shoes":

We ran the pipe cleaner up above her ankle to form a leg brace of sorts.

3 days later she's normal and zipping around like crazy, you'd never know she was born lame!

Chicks curled toes just went away, they are both walking around great, all toes spread and doing fine, one has just a slight wabble but is doing really good!!!!!!!!!! I'll still keep them isolated for a couple more days but my wife and I are very happy about this outcome!
