Young roos are aggressive breeders, FINALLY mine is getting some age on him!

I agree with POPs on the older roo.... if you decide on raising chicks, you need to start with several roos and pick the best one. But you are going to have bald backed hens.

As for raising non aggressive roos. it is a gamble! some are, and some are not. Many stories on here how really nice went to really mean in a heartbeat!

Some of the horror stories about how good roos turned bad have scared me...
