I should say they went outside for 15 mins, until I panicked and put them back inside!
I have a mini coop as a halfway house to the big coop, so as it was the big clean in the brooder, and it was hot hot hot, well for the UK !
I decide to try them outside, BUT not before I lined the coop floor with brown paper
Incase there were any bits an the decking they might pick up
Then I put none slip matting on the paper
Then I put some shaving downs
Put in food water and chicks
Of and put a sheet over 3/4 of the coop run for shade

Then threw the shavings out of the brooder, quickly washed with disinfectant
Put in clean none slip mat, shavings food water and en put the chicks beck into it!!!

I'm sure they enjoyed the 15 mins outside unlike me who was worried about heat stroke mp, dehydration, wind burn,,, its hard being a chick mummy

Not sure how hot your hot is but my week old chicks are out on the grass all day in summer here. I only bring them in at night. I did have some out on the grass this year when it got to 47c and i had frozen bottles around their pen.
