Chicks who think they’re ducks

I have two 8 week Easter eggers and two 8 week silver Appleyard ducks. They’ve lived together their whole lives. The ducks have moved into their outdoor coop. I tried to separate the chicks from the ducks but each pair peeped shrilly and wouldn’t stop, so I put them back together. They sleep together in the duck house and travel in a pack when I open the coops in the morning. The four of them snuggle together on the ground and when the ducks swim in their pool, the chicks wait next to it. I’ve seen the chicks go into the chicken coop, but they have no interest in spending time in there. (The entrance is too high for the ducks. I don’t want a messy chicken coop.)

Should I intervene eventually or will the Easter eggers figure out they’re chickens?

The pool is about five inches deep, but also about six inches off the ground. The chicks aren’t large enough bough to get over the edge. When they are, they’ll probably also be able to get out.
Even if they do get in they could easily drown. Since they are chicks just keep an eye on them once in a while. Once they get bigger they will most likely try to swim but since it’s a smaller pool/pond they should be able to get out
