Hello. I just got 3 new buff Orpington chicks today. They are 8 or 9 weeks old and have bloody stools! I have read all over the Internet today and went out and bought Corid. I have been giving them the water with a dropper and am hoping this will work.
I called the lady that I got them from back, after I noticed the bloody stool, and she told me that she fed them strawberries yesterday, and that this was the first time she ever noticed this.I am not sure what to think, but i started them on meds immediately. Any advice would be much appreciated.

bloody stool is cocci infection

give corrid

strawberries is a funny excuse that wont cause red stool as it gets digested and becomes brown in healthy chicks

they defo seem to have an issue of cocci

7 days treat whole flock

orps i have found seem to get it more that other breeds

good luck

Ok. I've looked at the poop page. One chick is not doing well at all. She just threw up. The other two are ok and drinking and eating on their own.

Thank you so much for the advice. Should I continue to dropper feed them just in case? We separated the real sick one from the healthier ones for now
