I do believe the Probios did the trick. Just to be safe I have a gallon of water mixed with the Corid and will give it to them for a few days. I will probably give a bit more Probios to them tomorrow also. My husband has to give our Haflinger Probios from time to time. For such a big horse, she is such a little girl. She gets the tummy ache every now and then.
As far as the donkey, I would higly recommend it. If something got after your horses, he would for sure take care of it. I have seen this myself. My dogs got in the pasture. He had a fit. He did not go after them at first as they were no where near the horses, but he sure made the most awful noise I have EVER heard. If you do not choose a donkey, I have an attack rooster. LOL. My beagle was out and was close to the hens he is housed with. She would never hurt them. Besides, I was right there with them. Well, he chased the dog. It was hilarious. Poor little girl. She would not hurt a fly.
