Chicks

So I have some chicks a few weeks old. And some eggs in the incubator. The new chicks that should be hatching in the next few days.... can they be added to the area with the older chick and the brooder light once they dry and fluff ( newbie here sorry)

How old are the chicks? Most of the time it's perfectly fine adding young chicks in with older chicks. But if your chicks are 4 or 5 weeks old there might be big pecking problems.

They are approx 1 week 1/2 old. They just seem to be growing so fast

I'm sure the younger chicks will be perfectly fine! 1 and 1/2 weeks isn't that old and the younger chicks will grow quickly.

I have 3 age groups in my brooder right now, each 2 weeks apart. They are all silkies. I did have to put a screen up to divide the brooder for a couple days with new additions. But after that they all mixed in great.

Wish me luck. Still anticipating a Hatch… First time doing it so I'm a little nervous
