[Chicken Tender 2]

First of all, hello. I have 4 week old chicks who are a little stir crazy in the house. They have a new run and coop and they are the first chickens to go in. It is 95-100 degrees day, and 70s at night. Anyone have thoughts?

If they have feathers they can spend the days and nights out.

They still have a very small amount of down like on their neck but almost fully feathered.

I would have had them out in these temps at 1 week of age and not thought twice about it.

Move them out.

Welcome to BYC. As long as their pen and coop are predator proof, it's time to get them outside.

Thanks Kiki, I am moving them out this weekend. Should I keep them in the coop for a day or just turn them loose!

Yes they will be fine being so warm and summer. At their age, I would keep them in the run only until they get a bit older, they are small enough to disappear outside free ranging.
