had a great surpise this morning, banty hatched her whole clutch of rhode Is reds, one or two stragglers but she persisted. 7 outa 7.

hi old chick,we have 1 hectare just outa invercargill nz, bottom of the world,19 sheep 10 are this years lambs dorset, sheep are east fresian great milk producers.hens are dorkings 5 roos 2, with bantams.and 7 rhode Is red chicks. just busy enough cheers branksy.
 
hi weimarmama checked a bit of your blog, see you like auto sex hens,my dorkings are like that.the hens have a large brown spot on there head roos only a thin streak.not man made this breed came to england with the romans,not a great egg layer but they say a great table bird. there not to many about these days, breeding is getting an unrelated pair more dificult.cheers branksy.
 
Yep, those autosexing breeds are some of my faves - very proud of my new Rhodebars :love. Dorkings sound lovely, I may have to think about adding them next year ;)
