Chics and dogs

I just got new chics and I was wondering is there a safe way to introduce my dog with the babies. Or should I not try? I don't want my dog to hurt them thinking they are a toy. Any advice would be great. Thanks

First of all is your dog friendly to other small animals? If your dog is friendly, I would suggest waiting for your chicks to grow up a bit and then introduce through a cage or gate.

How well trained is your dog? Does it know Leave It and does it do it consistently?

IMO Any introductions should be done with a secure fence in between the dog and birds, plus dog should be on leash in case it gets too excited to listen to your commands.
