That is an alarm or warning noise. Something is spooking her and she’s letting everyone know there is potential “danger.”

Yep sounds like prelude to an egg to me . sometimes they can sound wierd, my gal had the whole house run outside the other day.. egg song

Sounds like an egg song to me. When my chickens alert to danger it is more of a trilling noise.

Sounds like an egg song to me as well. Funny thing about egg songs. Hens will sounds off like that before an egg comes, after an egg comes, if she can’t find her flock, or if she’s just bored Doesn’t sound like a predator call to me, if it was she wouldn’t be repeating it so many times over and over again

hi, my dad said, that the chicken wants to lay an egg, but the other egg has a spot that the chiken wants , and wants the other chicken to leave, the other chicken is laying eggs too I tihnk

tried to make a box so the chicken migh want to stay there, but didnt want it

was thinking the neighbours are gona come over and say what is going on

what should I do?

Sounds like an egg song! Chickens who just laid an egg will start yelling very loud, in a coop setting this is just instinct u
but in the wild when a hen needs to lay she will go off away from the group and the flock will continue to forage moving Far from where she was. This sound helps the flock find her when she’s finished laying and they might join in and sing with her to let her know they’re coming! please don’t panic any new-to-chickens person will think of this as a distress sound but it is not. She’s fine and is only doing as her instincts tell her to.
