Well, two of the other three I have are that far from gamefowl too. One is even farther.

If they're good with free range survival, you could use them if you wanted. I'm not stopping you.

Most of the red jungle fowl I can find are $15 per chick. $13 in the least. I would probably want to order three. Preferably one cockerel and two pullets, so I can use both in my project. But they only come unsexed.

I bought 5 from Cackle, but now only currently have 4. Had to put one down since she had problems.

I ended up with 2 roosters, & 3 hens originally.

At least 5-6 to make sure you get some pullets. But with straight runs, it can be quite unpredictable.
