Cyra found the sketch that she was looking for, one of her family, that had been drawn before she had been taken to Lord Laboratories. It was the only resemblance she had of her family, since she did not have pictures of them. She lifted the picture and handed it to Andorra.

Completely embarrassed by her actions, Laurel decided to ignore him. Instead she took off one of her boots and emptied a small mirror and few other makeup supplies from it before slipping it back on. Gathering the supplies from the floor she lifted the mirror infront of her face to see her reflection in it. Even though not all her makeup had faded she began to apply more. To any other person this may have seemed very self-centered, but Laurel had her reasons. At a young age she had taken up this habit. Makeup was one of the very few cheap items Laurel could spend her money on without her father finding out that she used her money on anything besides buying his beers. After perfecting the art of makeup long ago she began to find comfort in it apart from her daily troubles. As a little girl who played with makeup and pretended that she was anyone but who she was she has continued this until now. She used the makeup to conceal all the buises she had been given by her father. If others thought she was a different person, just maybe she could beleive this as well. That's why she never talked of her past, she had convinced herself of this for so long that she had become two different people, the confident, courageous woman on the outside, and the frightened, lonely little girl she kept hidden on the inside. She didn't want to shatter people's false illusions of her, not wanting them to know who she truly was, and therefore she never let her inward self leak into her outward being, by never speaking of her past or even by not crying.
