He then paused in his stitches to look to Layla. That's not an easy question to answer. For everyone, it's different. Just talk to him when you can. The rest will fall into place naturally. " He then went back to finishing the last of the sutures.

Eliana let out an exasperated huff but said nothing more.

Layla just listened to him, he made it sound easy. It didn't feel like it was going to be easy, no it felt like her insides were clenched tight, gnawing on itself. As he finished his sutures part of her wanted to wait in the lab until Leverett got there, so she could be there when he came in. Another part of her wanted to go hide in her room in shame. She had no idea what she was going to do.

But he loved Amaryllis, so saying anything favorable about Anuerin to bring her comfort was very important to him. "Or maybe you father isn't worthy of knowing you. Razeth came over to snatch up a book she chose to read the title. " So you're into that sort of thing, who knew. " He teased her mildly.

Amaryllis nodded gently at the idea. She didn't want to think of her father as Vasper described him, but there had to be a good reason for why Anuerin never talked of him. Amaryllis interest grew in wanting to know about Vasper's past, but she kept silent. He would tell her if he had wanted to.

Dimitri grinned and shot the final goal while she was talking to him. A lesson in diversion he'd learned from her. "Three points, I win!" He said with enthusiasm.

Leverett had passed out again as they'd loaded him in the basket. So as he was brought up and set down, Ryker rushed forward to check his vitals. "Ok, he's still with us, l et's get him on the gurney! He's going into shock! " He informed as he helped transfer him and wrapped him in a thermal blanket. "Come on, you two help me get him back!" Ryker instructed Haley and Dyrus. He held his phone out to Haley quickly. "Call Alastor and tell him were coming. That Leverett's alive and is in critical condition." He replied before he started pushing the gurney with Dyrus's help.

The chief oversaw the retrieval of his man still down on the cliff.

Andorra was about to say something rude when Donella came to the rescue. She simply put her hands on her hips and waited for her response.

As she peered through the crack of the door as she opened it slightly, she saw a female. "Yeah, what do you want? We gave at the office." She asked straightforwardly.

The rescue guy first put on a neck brace before the loaded Leverett up. He looked to Nova with curiosity as she helped. As Leverett was being lifted, the rescue guy found himself reaching out a hand to touch her wing delicately as he whispered, "An angel in the flesh, no wonder he survived and found this ledge to land on. "

Nova looked to the guy then stepped back, out over the ledge and onto the air then flared her wings to hover there a moment and make sure the rescue guy didn't try to 'save her' before flying up to go with Leverett and Ryker. She didn't want a stranger touching her, but she didn't want him to try to grab her and fall either.

The rescuer watched in awe as Nova flew away. Too stunned to make a move at all. When the basket was lowered to him, he carefully climbed in and clipped his lifeline onto the basket for the ride up.
