Zaine watched the two walk by before considering it safe to get going. Alexis and dimitri were going to be undoubtedly late, so that meant pretty much everyone else was in class already. Which meant no one would see him ascending. He had denied himself the outing yesterday, but today he was dying to get even the littlest bit of fresh air, just for a minute. A very small minute that surely, surely, no one would notice him absent. He strode towards the door and, checking behind him, quietly slipped into the stairwell.

Zaine pulled the door behind him and slowly made his way up the steps. Taking a deep breath, he tried the door. Anticipation arose as he opened it eagerly. The morning light hit him directly in the eyes, causing him to blink several times to adjust. He shut the door with his heel and pushed off to go to the edge, then froze and spun around to see who the voices he had just heard belonged to. Oh crap.

Emily frowned as she folded the paper and slid it into the stack of files she held. This would need attention, but for the moment she had to finish the task at hand. She started down the hall, then stopped, noticing a door ajar. A door that ought not be open, really. She quickly skimmed through the ring of keys she had just picked up from her office and found the matching one. Pressing the door closed fully, she locked it, then continued on her way.

Donella looked to the door as it opened, freezing where she was. Speak of him and now he was here. She bit her lip and looked down after a moment.

Donella sighed and flopped down, looking up too. "I never felt like this before." She said sadly. She didn't much like it either.

Andorra looked up startled by the abrupt emergence of Zaine. The old saying: speak of the devil and he appears, came to mine. "Oh, hi Zaine. Care if I show you the ledge? " She asked just a little bit on the grumpy side.

"I just, uh, I came up for some air," he offered by way of greeting and explanation for his presence. He caught Andorra's tone but decided to ignore her comment. Shoving him off the ledge wouldn't do much damage, anyhow, what with his animal being an owl.

Donella nodded and laid down again. She would just let him do as he wanted without comment, or rather let him make the move.

"I just, uh, I came up for some air," he offered by way of greeting and explanation for his presence. He caught Andorra's tone but decided to ignore her comment. Andorra knew that Zaine would survive to tell. That was the reason she'd said it. She'd warned him not to make her regret giving him the tray and he'd blew it. She noticed Donella's reaction and looked to Zaine again. "So you're skipping too or do you not have a class at this time?" She asked conversationally. Maybe she could fix this situation between the star-crossed crushers....or is is crushes? Whatever, they are to eachother.

Adrian gave her a warm smile at her response, he was beyond happy with her answer. "Good, I know they would want to meet you. I don't know when or how we will get to see them but, when we do I am taking you to meet them. My mother is a force to be reckoned, but in a good way. She will probably try to feed you until you burst, and fuss over you to no end." He said fondly, remembering how his mother would treat guests. She always went out of her way when it came to boyfriends/girlfriends of her children. He couldn't wait to bring her to meet his family.

Willow fell for the idea of being accepted and adorned by a mother figure. She'd never got that from her own. She smiled fondly up at Adrian. "I think I'd like that. I'd like that very much. Not the feed until bursting, but the rest. "She clarified with a giggle.

Allen looked uncomfortably red as she explained. "Well, then let's be glad you did come along," he said, chuckling lightly. He looked to the wine bottle, thankful for the new subject. "Ryker sure knows how to pick," he muttered as he glanced over the shelf.

Haley blushed lightly, a teeny bit embarrassed by her mistake. This was going to take some getting used to, each other and their very rare humor.

"Aw, aren't you my hero," Alexis said, grinning with pleasure. It really was terribly nice, having someone who had your back without question.

Ashton just shook her head at Allen and went to the secret door to the cave. "Yep, I suppose. " She muttered as she went.

" I must admit mine humor is quite rusty. Somthing I aim to change since meeting you. I can't always be doom and gloom. " Dyrus said over the rim of his coffee mug. It effectively hid his grin. Somthing he did a lot around her also.

Dimitri snorted at that, he was never one for frivolous titles. " If you asked him, individuals who volunteer themselves as heroes in such simple situations are nothing more than bloated toads with blown up egos to match. Are you trying to puff me up house cat? " He asked with humor in his eyes.

Elijah rounded the corner and saw the door to his room swing shut, apparently he did have a room mate now. He headed for the door and opted to knock before entering so as not to startle whoever was inside. He wanted to make a good first impression after all. As he turned the knob and opened the door he announced his presence and hoped for the best. "Coming in, new roommate here." He said amicably.

Roan had stripped off his shirt and was working on his pants when his new roommate announced his presence. He looked to him curiously and smiled welcoming. " Hey, nice to officially meet you. I've only knew you by your items. I'm Roan and I'm a stork. " He said as he offered his slightly sticky hand in greeting.

Harper closed her cell and gestured for Irine to walk along side her down the hall towards the elevator. "Yeah sometimes I take my morning showers in their instead of my room, feels better. The best thing are hot tubs, now those feel nice on sore muscles." She said with a smile thinking about it. She may work in the lab but she was one of Rykers experiments too so she often found herself in the gym during free time. This would be her first time taking Irine there personally, she was interested to see her in action. Even though she seemed relaxed Harper kept a watchful eye on Irine as they walked just to be safe.

Irine was well aware of Harper's cursory glances. She was sure to keep her body posture easy and non-threatening. She waited patiently for the elevator. She chose a pleasant topic of conversation. "So what's your workout routine?"
