Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Layla stalked her way to the gym, brooding the whole way there. She snarled and shot glares at anyone she passed. When she actually made it to the gym she relaxed visibly, it was strange. She moved to the mats that had the dummies and hanging bags and picked her favorite one out. She chucked her shoes into a corner and tied her hair back and went to work as it were on the bag.

Elijah had wandered down yet another dark and dusty hall in exploration. He was small enough as a red panda that he could slip into the shadows if someone came and no one paid him any mind. It was now that he realized how large this building was, although he was confused as to why they had so many rooms if only a portion of the building was in use.

Liam heard Ryker voice and moved to check back into the main lab to see what was going on. If Ryker was down there that wasn't good, he hoped it was not a sign of how things were going and just a coincidence.

Eliana heard Rykers voice and her eyes went wide with fear, but at the same time her blood boiled with anger. She had such conflicted emotions where he was concerned that she didn't know what to do. She sat in the corner of Alastor's lab frozen, cradling her mug with trembling hands. Whether they were trembling in fright or rage she couldn't pin down. She was thankful though that at least for now he remained in the other lab and not directly in front of her.

" Anywhere your heart desires. Do you have an affinity for truth or passion for fiction?" Gideon asked as he stepped over to where she'd was and looked at the titles there.
"Passion for fiction. I've had enough reality to last a lifetime, even before I came here." She admitted casually.

It had been a few hours since Ioan had put the decapitated head in the incinerator to burn. He sat at the desk filling the paperwork that had been left in the basement a few months back with the promise that he would organize it all. It gave him the opportunity to think without interruption. Gathering a pile of paperwork he decided was no longer important he stood to take it to the incinerator. He watched through the glass window as the pages turned to ash, engulfed by the flames. His mind began to drift but he directed his attention to that moment. Shutting the incinerator off he made a mental note to remove the ashes later when they had time to cool off. He sighed deeply as he remembered that his assistant was scheduled to begin working with him today. He had completely forgotten with the circumstances of this morning. Ioan had this foolish idea that he could stay down here to not be seen while this emotional, and would return when he was ready to face his life. He realized now that he would never feel that way, he simply had to accept his life to live it. He started up the stairs heavily and locked the door behind him when he reached the first level. He straightened his appearance and headed to Emily's office. He knocked politely at the doorframe before stepping inside the open doorway. "Hello, Emily. You must forgive, I became consumed by events of this morning and forgot you were coming today." He appoligized, even though he hated being one to use excuses.

Emily set the pen down and flexed her cramped fingers. She tore off the sheet of paper, now covered in hurried cursive, and shook it gently to dry all the ink. There was a scary large amount of fanged animals here. She poured herself a glass of water and downed the whole thing, then folded the sheet neatly and headed out. She needed to find Ares to see whether he had gotten anywhere and check in at the nurse's office.

(that was my last post on her; I'll just say she didn't leave quite yet)

Emily tossed the paper cup in the trash and was preparing to go find Ares when a knock sounded at the open door. Caught off guard, her hand flew to her heart as she spun around to see who it was. Ioan. "Oh!" She gathered her composure and moved to greet him, offering him a hand. "It's no problem, not at all. I just assumed you were busy. This place doesn't run in its own, after all." She blushed, realizing she was babbling. Glanced to the floor to avoid his gaze. Oh, look, still barefoot. She wasn't sure whether to be thrilled that he was finally here, or embarrassed about the state with which they had to meet. After a moment she remembered her manners. "Please come in," she said, jerking her head up. "I'm so sorry for the mess; I've been looking for something. There was an incident that we're still working through." Her gaze slid to her shoes in a pile by the chair. Hopefully he wouldn't notice that, or the rest of the mess that she had yet to put away.

Iris laughed, throwing her towel in the towel bin.

Victor looked at her raccoon form, a bit annoyed that he couldn’t be a vulture or they’d lose each other. He kept running, for what seems to be hours, before he sighed, and rested against a tree.
"Well," Atalanta said, letting her towel fall as she stretched her arms to the ceiling, "I think I'm going to go find brother mine. What are you doing next?"
