Ares kicked at the air in irritation. Of course, dumb luck, everyone from his previous class had already scurried off to their next or to the cafeteria. He returned to Dimitri's side and circled slowly around him, now considering who had done this. The way he was towered over the unconscious cat, one could easily suspect him. After all, leopard to tiger would be a fair enough match, he thought, rather arrogantly. There was no way he could move the tiger, not alone at least. He decided it made the most sense to step right up to to the principal—or assistant; much prettier face—and bring the subject up.

Emily fished through the key ring in search of a particular one. Poor girl had lost her key and was in a state of near tears, worried about what would happen. Nothing, apparently, she found out immediately after bringing the subject up to Emily. "Here you go," Emily said, handing over the brass key. A quick thank you and a dip of the head and the girl scurried off. She stood and pushed the rolling chair away from her desk. Not yet 24 hours into her job and she'd already been all over the place on various things. She finally had a minute to herself to finish her coffee and eat the granola bar she'd found.
Her peace didn't last long.
Ares knocked on the door that he had been told was the assistant principals. The principal, Ioan, was nowhere to be found (*wink wink*
@Run Wild ). "Miss Emily? You in there? There's an emergency that begs your attention," he called.
Emily stood, sighing heavily as she went to the door and opened it. She first asked "Is anyone dead?" just to clarify how much of an emergency this really was.
Ares shook his head, but not very convincingly. "No, not yet at least. I found a tiger unconscious in a hall."
Emily's mind instantly went to the list she'd practically memorized before arriving here. Tiger...how many were there? She could only recall one, and that was Dimitri. She pushed past Ares and out into the hall. She had just talked to Dimitri, alive and well, minutes ago. "But what? How?" She furrowed her brow in confusion.
Ares shrugged then quickly stepped into line behind her. "I don't know. I just came across it a moment ago."
High heels were incredibly slowing. Emily stripped them off as she walked, leaving the navy blue shoes in a pile behind her. "Did you hear anything? See anyone?"
A shake of the head. Blast it!
