Emily set the pen down and flexed her cramped fingers. She tore off the sheet of paper, now covered in hurried cursive, and shook it gently to dry all the ink. There was a scary large amount of fanged animals here. She poured herself a glass of water and downed the whole thing, then folded the sheet neatly and headed out. She needed to find Ares to see whether he had gotten anywhere and check in at the nurse's office.Emily bustled around her own office, looking through files and lists. So many lists. She had been adamant about having those lists, though, in order to have an easy way to find names and creatures. It was a pretty nifty system, what she had, and she was extremely grateful for it now. She flipped through the shifter list, shuddering slightly as she was reminded of what kind of dangerous animals they had here. A zoo full of lethal animals. She didn't often let it cross her mind, trying to focus on the people they were rather than the clawed animals they could be, but this incident brought it all to the light. Too real and too close. She shuddered, the image of the massive tiger unconscious in the hall.
She ran her finger down a page, nodding to herself with satisfaction when she confirmed that the tiger was Dimitri. She then went to his file. Thin, like most of them. She was allowed too little information on the students. Just enough, really, to keep her job running smoothly and questions at bay. But she had so many questions; only, she felt like no one else had answers either.
Recalling the deep teeth marks at Dimitri's throat, she pulled out a notepad and went back to her list of creatures to write down all the felines and canines.
