William reached out and snatched her up, he held her though against his chest because he couldn't tell if the scream was in fear or excitement and he wanted her to know he wasn't going to hurt her. But he also couldn't help himself he put his mouth down next to her ear and whispered, "Got ya." He then chuckled lightly in her ear, those big fluffy ears. For whatever reason had an urge to bite one or rub against it to feel its softness. He decided to do neither because he didn't want to be weird.

"Left the party so soon?" Samantha raised a dark eyebrow. "What, were you afraid she'd stick some poison in your cup?" She chuckled softly. Yeah, it was probably good he hadn't stuck around. It wasn't a good idea to leave the assistant hanging out with angry patients unattended.

"Oh I know what you mean, my drawing and writing are my escape. What genre do you like?" She asked, wondering if he was a fiction sort of fella or something else. It was nice to meet a kindred spirit in this place.

He said with a laugh. "i don't know how Alastor got her to behave, what sort of arrangement they have but hes even got her un-restrained. Hes either very brave or very stupid." He said simply with a shake of his head. He respected Alastor, guy was almost the genius Ryker was but Eliana was a wildcard, one he didn't trust at all.

Leah giggled, she wasn’t scared whatsoever, just enjoying her time playing with him. She sighed, responding with a grin “Of course you did.” Noticing his attention to her ears, which was an insecurity of hers, she asked meekly “Do you like them?”

Harper drew the amount of blood specified and then pulled the needle out and covered the entry point with a square of gauze. "Hold that there please." She ask Amaryllis as she transferred the blood with new needles onto a tray and gave it to Alastor to help Ryker with. She then turned back to Amaryllis and put a piece of bandage tape of the gauze to hold it in place. "You did great, did you want to stay to see how it goes?" Harper asked curiously as she cleaned up after drawing the blood.

Amaryllis held the gauze in place until Harper wrapped her arm with a bandage. "I'll stay here, if that's alright." She decided, hoping she wouldn't be in Ryker's way.

Amara thought about that, was he just trying to be polite, she didn't think so. But she didn't have the best people skills so she wasn't sure. "Well I don't know if he was being polite or flirting, it seemed like flirting to me. But you know me, I don't always do so well around people so I didn't hang around to find out." She was not well versed in flirting, but in case she read things wrong previously she wanted to brush up on it so it wouldn't happen again.

Casey nodded and hugged her again "Carrying books is one of those things that can go either way, flirting or just being friendly. Being confused on that is understandable." He said gently.

Zoe did what she could for his hand then leaned forward to look at Asa. "Just so you know, this wasn't about our relationship, this was about him finding out his sister was murdered. He needed a moment for that, but we are both on track again."
