Kenya opened the door, barely seen in the unlit room. She rubbed her eyes as she locked the door behind her and went to her bed fully dressed in her pajamas.

"Thanks," Alexis mumbled. She slung her jean jacket over the edge of her bed, then felt through her dresser for a pair of pajamas. No need to worry about matching. The lights were out anyway and it wasn't like Kenya was going to care. Once she was sure she had a shirt and shorts in hand, she headed to the bathroom to change, making sure to not turn the bathroom light on till the door was closed.

After changing Cyra got under her covers and stared up at the ceiling in thought.

"No." She said quietly after he had finished speaking. "I will not beleive you. You only use me as they have. How can you claim that you are any better?" Laurel remarked wisely, despite the way his words troubled her soul. "No. Its nothing." Laurel whispered as he asked her if his men had her hurt her. There were still things she wanted to keep secret despite what Ryker already knew about her father's abusive nature towards her. Her latest scar had nearly left her dead, and yet she concealed it, too ashamed for anyone to know. She shifted to cover the blood, trying not to let her pain prove evidence on her face, but her loss of blood from the wound in the last few days had been too great for her to bear the pain in secret, as she had always done. The truth shone on her face.
