Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Amaryllis turned back, lifting her head for a short moment to look at him before hanging it again. "We almost lost him, Ryker." Her vision blurred as she starred at the white tile at her feet. Her shoulders bobbed in a barely restrained sob and she fumbled forward to hug Ryker, resting her head against his chest.
Ryker folded Amaryllis in his embrace. "I know dearest." He said as he pressed a kiss atop her head. He closed his eyes as he fought back his own tears. For too many eyes would see them.

Elliot followed as well, clearly annoyed. He was furious at himself for showing emotion, yet also angered at Asa for making a big deal out of it.
Asa composure turned from stiff with angry to a casual air as he entered the lobby. He smiled warmly to the woman at the desk who was quick to register a key card to the pleasant man. Thanking her he took the stairs to the fourth level. He would have taken the elevator if he was sure he wouldn't publicly explode in anger at the couple. He mantained a pleasant expression while scanning the card across the door handle. He opened the door wide for both to enter, his expression firmly ushering them inside.

Zoe put on a pleasant expression for the humans, glancing around curiously as they went in then silently following him up the stairs and going into the room. She picked a place to stand where she could see the room and be out of the way, setting her bag down against the wall.

Zaine took the proffered book, turning it to see the first image better. "Wow," he said quietly as his gaze ran over the detail of the dragon. He flipped the pages slowly, taking time to absorb the details. "These are really great."

(Yuss XD)

Lyra brightened a bit when he mentioned that he liked her drawings. She glanced to the current page to see what he was looking at. The current page was one she had been working on last. It was a castle made out of books, and a dragon lounging against the castle with a pair of reading glasses on while reading a book. It was admittedly one of her sillier ones but she liked it. She moved to close the pad and take it back but was doing so in such a polite manner that he had probably already seen it. "That one is, well that one is just silly, and not finished yet. I don't know what it needs yet to be finished, I was wandering the halls hoping it would come to me." She said as her cheeks heated and flushed as she tried to take the pad from him without seeming rude.

Samantha pushed off from the table and stepped slowly towards Liam near the door. How to get out of this with the smallest punishment possible. "I popped in for a friendly hullo, but it seems friendly isn't a word known to your little pet here," she said, shrugging her shoulders. She glanced to Liam. Better to leave him out of this. He warned her off so it wouldn't be fair to bring him in.

Liam flinched like he had been hit when Alastor yelled in anger, he had never seen that man angry before. He knew he was in trouble now, he should have insisted that Sam leave it be. He stepped forward towards Alastor, "We uh, what I mean is, well..." He was not doing so good here. Seeing that Sam realized her mistake he decided to step up and take the blame. "I am sorry Alastor, I know that you have been trying to get Eliana to behave and I should not have brought Sam in here in the first place. I jokingly wanted to see how she would do, and well, it was wrong." He looked him in the eye, man he hoped he wasn't going to get in too much trouble for this.

Eliana was vibrating with anger, her whole body shook. She was prepared to lunge at Sam when Alastor came into the room. At first that hadn't slowed her at all as she shifted her weight to the balls of her feet before the strike. But when Alastor raised his voice, something that seemed out of character for the man, it gave her pause and she hesitated. She put her hand on the counter next to her and wrapped her fingers around it, digging her claws into the underside as she forced herself to stay put. But the act was visibly painful with her level of emotions. She looked up at the trio, her green eyes flashing as she grimaced.

"Both of you, out of my sight. I'll deal with you later. I have to diffuse the situation and right now, your presence here is a hindrance." Alastor snapped almost almost viciously. His eyes went to Eliana and the pain she was self-inflicting.

(That's right! Take that you trouble making yahoos! As a side I am sitting here thinking how funny would it be if Eliana like hulked out when she got agitated and turned into some sort of large furry were-weasel! But alas that wouldn't make any sense, but in my head it is genius and this conversation goes much funnier because of it. )

Eliana fixed Alastor with her heated glare. He was the closest thing she had to a friend in this place but even he wasn't to that point yet. She had just been starting to trust him, to trust that he was right. But in this moment she blamed him, it was his fault, and perhaps her fault for trusting him in the first place. "Was this another of your sick tests, or was this Rykers idea? She how far you can push me? Poke and prod and snigger like I am some sort of creature in a zoo?!" She spat as she released the counter top and her blood dripped onto the floor from where she had hurt her fingers and nails by gripping the counter so hard.

Leah giggled at her being tickled slightly, smiling. Her small fangs were displayed as she asked quietly “Maybe we could take another walk? But I like this place, can we stay here a bit longer?” She rested her head next to him, not touching him, but right next to him. She whispered softly “I feel safe around you.”

William nodded and smiled down at her, he moved to put his arm around her shoulders so she could rest her head on his shoulder if she wanted. He moved slowly to give her a chance to let him know that wasn't what she wanted. "Of course we can stay here a bit longer, I like it here too, I like the heat. And after we can take a walk and go exploring, see what we can find. I am glad I make you feel safe." He said quietly to her, it made him happy that she felt comfortable around him

Ryker folded Amaryllis in his embrace. "I know dearest." He said as he pressed against kiss atop her head. He closed his eyes as he fought back his own tears. For too many eyes would see them.
(He took me longer than it should have to realize 'against' was suppose to be 'a')
Amaryllis lost herself in emotion, crying softly without the recollection that they weren't alone. She pretended to be strong at Haley's request, and to keep her brother from being angry for how he'd hurt her. But now knowing that Ryker understood how she felt as someone who loved Anuerin too, she expressed her emotions fully.

Casey smiled at her and nodded "I would like that, thank you Anne." He said kindly then looked to Amara and smiled "I would like that too" He said gent;y to her, holding out his arm like an old timey gentleman.

Amara smiled up to him as she linked her arm in his. "Thank you good sir." She said to him much like she had read about in some of her older books. She waved to Anne as they turned to leave, she was happy to know Dimitri was in good hands. She couldn't do anything for him, which she was sad for. She would just have to try and come back to see him at a later time.

Samantha wasted no time in leaving, though she kept her pace even, trying not to appear as agitated as she felt. Once out the door, she went right and didn't stop. If Alastor wanted to talk to her later, he'd have to find her himself. She wasn't going to wait around for him.

Liam ducked his head and exited the room as well. He jogged after Sam, attempting to catch up with her longer stride. "Hey, where are you going?" He asked when he caught up, she had come down here for a reason after all.

"It's tolerable, when the medicine is working. Thank you Miss Harper. Thank you so very much. " Leverett said with a bit of a sheen of tears in his eyes.

Harper made a mental note of his answer but then noticed that he was close to tears. She moved to the edge of the bed and sat down, she wasn't so good with this sort of thing. "Your welcome, are you sure your ok?" She asked quietly, real great Harper, its pretty obvious he is not ok, she told herself.
