Dimitri took the water gratefully and let himself be subjugated to the blood drainage. Doctors and their tests. It brought back bad memories of the lab. He looked to Alexis as a distraction from what Michael was doing. "Why was she here? If I'm infectious, I mean?" He asked the doctor. Why would she risk her life? She should be out enjoying herself with Mr. Hot stuff from calss. She no longer had any obligations him. He thought bitterly.

Michael chuckled and put a small bandage on the spot where he drew the blood "She refused to leave your side since she got here. Even knowing in your delirium you could harm her, she still stayed as close as she could." He said, going to look at the new sample and compare it to the earlier one.

Hairspray was admittedly better than hairbreath. "So, If no Frog, no hairspray?" Allen asked, raising his brow. He weighed the worth then quickly decided that he could handle hairspray in order to keep calling her frog. Putting his ear to the door, he listened closely for any sounds. Nothing. He then cracked the door open and poked his head around to confirm the all clear before beckoning her to follow.

Haley was completely confused for a moment before she realized that he was serious. So there was a real life Mainland Monster. Good to know. "But isn't that your job?" She asked, not quite sure why Ryker would go to the trouble of paying someone somewhere else when he had a whole houseful of loyal hybrids.

Ares genuinely laughed at Adrian's reply. He was pleased the man didn't seem to take offense by his comment, instead replying in good humor. His little girlfriend over there seemed only slightly less amused. "I did know that, actually," he said with a smile. "But it's usually the knights who get the damsels; not their trusty steeds."

Anuerin took steadying breaths as Ryker's footsteps echoed from a distance. He felt a little woozy, but he fought the feeling to wait out the surgery.

Ryker nodded to reassure her that all was going fine. He washed up and changed his gloves before going to draw blood. He hoped it worked, they only had one shot at this.

"Oh yes, I'm a horrible beastly beast," Ares said, rolling his eyes. He took a swallow of his soda then cleared his throat. Grinned at her. "Sweetheart, need I reminded you that this ain't no glass castle. Last time I checked, it was some seriously thick concrete that makes up our residence. So good luck bringing it down." He glanced to Adrian with a look of amusement, hoping to convey he meant no harm to the stallion or his girl.

Dimitri bent his arm up to put pressure on the bandage. He finished the water and crumpled the paper cut before tossing it into the trash. He sighed and reached over to stoke Alexis's cheek gently. "She's stubborn, I know that well." He said under his breath.

Alexis, who had heard the last few sentences exchanged, now stretched slowly. Standing slowly, she walked the few steps over to him and plopped down again against his side. He wanted to leave, but she had sat here long enough watching him and she wasn't quite ready to let him do so.

" He was actually due to be put down, you see. He was deemed unpredictable and took dangerous to ever be trusted in the feild. I heard the guards talking about his euthanasia. So I knew when Vasper went feral on a trainer one day, it was over unless I stepped in. So out of desperation for my lab mate, I grabbed him by the neck and sat on top of him until he came back to himself. Fortunately with my hybridization, I'm very strong and holding him down was not a hardship. If I hadn't gotten him off the guy, they all had live rounds and would have taken him out."He frowned in thought As he added. " He's had a hard life and has a lot of dark moods. Usually I can bring him out of them with a soothing sound. Only a couple of times when they became really bad, I had to touch his neck. " He stopped and faced Haley. "Now I didn't tell you this for you to judge him and try to keep him away from Amaryllis. I said this so you understand him better. He very different around her. I saw it on the flight back with how he behaved. I believe she's good for him. He needs somthing good to eclipse the darkness that's within him." He said softly.
