Samantha tossed her head back, laughing. "I'm just messing with you," she said, grinning. "He's not all that bad, if you play nice. You should go say hi. You never know, you might like him." She smirked unabashedly at the girl, knowing she was—if not there yet—nearly very uncomfortable.

She was definitely trying to get a yes out of him, Alexis thought with amusement. She glanced back at the bed and eyed Zaine, waiting to see what he'd say.

Zaine cleared his throat as he straightened up. "Um, maybe?" He looked around for the time. "If there are things you'd rather chat about now or do without me, I should actually probably go."

Alexis rolled her eyes. "Good grief, have a little fun, man," she muttered. She tossed the sheets onto the bed and closed the closet doors.

Ellie glanced over at Nick and then quickly shook her head as her cheeks turned a bit red. "No I think I better just stay here, besides I don't think he even knows I exist, he seems far more interested in the fish." She said quietly as she pulled at her pretzel bag a bit.

Lyra smiled at Zaine and nodded, "Sure you an head out if you want, just know your welcome, anytime. " She said as she got up off the bed and ripped the sketch of his owl out of her book and handed it to him. "You can keep it if you want."

She turned to Alexis after he left and sighed, "too much? I get a bit in my own world sometimes I don't realize what is acceptable in terms of hitting on someone." She said with a quiet laugh.

Aralyn didn't reply until Nick's back was turned to her as he was about to walk away. "Takes one to know one." The malicious smile was heard clearly in her voice if he wasn't looking at her.

Nick chuckled at her comment, which he had heard. He filled a cup with soda then returned to the table. "Then the two of us ought to start a club for one of the subjects I've just named," he said, continuing right where he left off. "Or maybe you prefer something with a little more action...?" Flashing her a smile, he raised his brow as he waited for an answer.

"Hey do you by chance have a dictionary? 'Cause if you look up the word 'awkward', I think you'll find the definition reads 'Zaine'." She laughed at her own joke as she plopped down on the halfway made bed.

Nova shook her head then sighed again. "I don't know." She didn't much care either. she was tired of talking, talking never seemed to solve the problems that came up.

Leverett settled into quietly companionship with Nova at his side. He knew it wouldn't last and she wasn't his. But for the moment he could pretend she was. He closed his eyes to better remember the nuances of their brief time together. Her subtle scent, her soft breathing and above all her warm closeness.

Nova settled in where she was, soon enough falling asleep there, curled up next to him. She was comfortable with him, even if he kind of blackmailed her into staying.
