Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(Thanks)
Amaryllis followed closely, unable to keep herself from looking back over her shoulder to watch the business of city life
Haley, contrary to what she had thought, disliked this place immensely. It wasn't the kind of town or life she remembered from before. As much as she hated to admit it, she missed her cell, the constancy and security it provided on most days. She had been there long enough that the big experiments were a thing of the past. They had been ghastly in the duration, but now they were just distant memories and she had blocked the severity of them away from her mind. Would it be so bad if...? She glanced to Amaryllis to see how she was keeping up. Upon seeing the fragile girl's face, thin and pale with exhaustion, she knew they couldn't. Amaryllis wouldn't last a day with Ryker. No, she had to push forward, not for herself but for the innocent. She had to get Amaryllis to safety and help as promised and then she would think about herself.
Haley ducked behind some dumpsters so they could stop for a breather and to discuss the plan.

Andorra smiled and watched Donella move back to the bed. She then opened the book and sat cross-legged in the floor to thumb through the pages to read some more. She glanced over to Donella periodically as she'd turned the page.
Donella returned to her human form, just laying on the bed and resting for now while Andorra read on the floor.

Amaryllis was great full for the rest although it had only been a few minutes before they began their journey once again. Tucking herself behind the dumpster she rested against the support of a brick wall. While regaining her breath she was reminded of her brother, and cherished those few moments she had been in his presence the day before last.

"I don't like this," Haley said flat out. She figured Amaryllis found this life exhilarating and new, but she couldn't stand it. It wasn't safe and they needed to get out. "We need to head southwest, towards the woods," she said quietly.

"Yes," Amaryllis said quietly, smiling at her friend to hide her disappointment. "Of course."

Haley didn't want to depress Amaryllis with what she was really thinking, that Ryker would be hot on their trail by now and they'd be lucky to make it to the woods, so she didn't. Instead, she stood slowly, using the wall as a brace, then stepped out from behind the dumpster to survey the area. "You stay here," she said in a low voice. "I'm going to see how we ought to get out."

(It'd be my pleasure ;) )

(Pure awesomeness! I'm thinking of making those two actual characters.
