Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Laurel pretended to hold back in the doorway, but as soon as Razeth was out of sight she ran to the elevator, were the door happened to be open and waiting for her to enter.
Razeth only ran faster thinking he was way ahead of the elevator. He pushed through the door on the ground floor and headed for the kitchen.

The elevator behaved well for Laurel, lowering her to the chosen level in a more timely fashion than usual. The stairs ended at the far hall, and Laurel could see the dining hall was much closer to the elevator than it was to them, which gave her the advantage. Not hesitating, she rushed into the dining hall, quickly taking seat in the nearest chair. Propping her booted feet on the table, she leaned back to appear more leisurely.

Nova smiled and looked ahead again, waiting for them to reach the island
The foot of the island was tricky with shallow reef and rock formations. Part of why he needed the depth finder he was navigating with. When he got as close as he could without bottoming out he looked to Nova. "This is a far as I can take you. Swim or fly, your choice. " He said simply.

Casey watched them quietly, smiling when Amara came to join them in human form.

Adrian watched her frown and head over to her bed. He had apparently said something to upset Willow, although he honestly had not meant too. He followed her over to the bed and sat down quietly next to her. "Hey if I upset you I'm sorry. I never meant what I said to hurt you. Can you forgive me?" He asked her quietly sincerity clear on his face. "And if you would allow it I would still like to braid your hair. However I do understand if you would like your space." He added quickly.
Amara reached out and squeezed Casey arm in thanks for being patient with her. "Sorry about that." She whispered quietly to him. She glanced over to Willow and Adrian who seemed to be talking quietly about something. She figured they needed a minute so she turned to Casey. "You don't think I ruined my first impression do you?"
Casey smiled at her and shook his head. "No, I don't think you ruined it, they seem to understand about being shy."
"Oh? Well it did. My "big personality " wasn't a problem when we meet. In fact you seemed to like it just fine, up until just now. I don't know if I can forgive you, Adrian. You made me feel judged and I don't like how that makes me feel." Willow said with a pout. She looked to Amara and Casey as the thought over what to do. She then turned back to Adrian and said, "I'll let you still braid my hair, just don't make me regret it." She then chanced a small smile of forgiveness.

Nova nodded and looked to him and nodded "Alright, thank you." She said then flared her wings as she jumped then hovered for a moment over him "Take care." She waved then turned towards the island, landing and looking back to make sure he made it out safely.

Layla paused looking at Leverett's open arms, clearly an invitation for a hug. How long had it been since she had been hugged she wondered, an innocent, simple hug? She couldn't remember, but here he was offering this kind gesture to her. It was such a simple thing but it left her dumbfounded. She stood there for a moment unsure what to do before she moved into his arms and accepted his embrace. At first she barely hugged him but then before she realized it the flood gates seemed to open and she clutched him tightly to her burying her face in his neck as she let out a quiet sob. It had been so long since she had had someone so open and welcoming that she didn't want to kill instantly. Not to mention he emotions had been blocked for so long that the tears flowed out of her.
Leverett held her equally as tight, instinctively showing that she was safe to fall to pieces, for he'd protect her. He softly stroked her hair and murmured softly: that she was safe, that no one could hurt her anymore and in time, even the nightmares would fade. He then slowly rocked her gently in his arms ashe he sang a French lullaby to her that his nanny had once sang to him.

"Yeah, I remember," Zaine mumbled.

Alexis closed the door behind them, then crossed the room to sit on the corner of Dimitri's bed. "You okay, Zaine?" She asked tentatively.

"Yeah," Zaine said, with a nod of his head.

(It's still easier than digging through the RP for a particular post ;) If you go through their personal posts, you just need to keep an eye out for the name of the character whose post you're searching for.)
Dimitri stared at Zaine with a deep frown. "So, what did you do in our time apart?" He asked pointedly.

Zaine crossed his arms as he looked to Dimitri for a long moment. He then plopped backward on his bed once more. "I talked to Donella," he said flatly. Covering his face with his hands, he groaned quietly as he considered what to say. "Actually, Dimitri. Here's the thing. I tried to talk to Donella. For the life of me, I don't know what to say around her. I think up all these grand clever things, and then when I finally open my mouth, everything but what I intended to say comes out!"

Alexis bit down a smile and stared down at her hands as she listened. "Maybe I'll go...?" She looked questioningly to Dimitri.

When Razeth got to the kitchen, he was shocked to find Laurel already there. He sighed softly and shrugged, "Ok, so you got here first, but I see you let your victory go to waste. Mainly sitting there NO eating Donuts. Now you'll have to fight my much larger self for them." He said with a shake of his head in mock disapproval.
