Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Frowning, Haley slowed her step and tried to think of something to lift Amaryllis' sinking spirit. "As soon as we encounter civilization, we'll find help for us and Aneurin," she said decidedly. Of course, that was probably easier said than done. She wasn't sure how long it would be till they would come upon a city or town, and there was a large chance Ryker's men would find them before then. As for Aneurin, she had no idea what direction he had headed or what his exact plan was, and Amaryllis seemed to be ignorant of those facts as well.

:)idunno  It's after class hours)

Amaryllis made herself smile, knowing Haley was trying to comfort her, but she knew as well as Haley that that would be nearly impossible.

Out of habit, Haley paused and looked behind them, scanning the woods for any movement. When she was satisfied that there was nothing, she continued on a few yards behind Amaryllis.

"I think long before we're wrinkled and hunchbacked, we'll know whether we're gonna die in a fight or in a nursing home," Allen corrected her. "So, if we decide it's the nursing home path for us, I can beat you to a pulp and right before you die, give me all the venom you've got," he suggested, resting his chin on his fist and staring at her as he waited for an answer.
"Well, alright then. Sounds like a plan." Yhgiilra stated. "I am unsure of if you would be strong enough to do that, but we'll just have to see." She said, poking fun at him.

( thought I answered this)

Allen rolled his eyes. "Please, of course I'll be strong enough," he said before flexing his right arm muscle for visual.

Yhgiilra laughed lightly. For some reason she just always thought guys looked ridiculous when they flexed.
"Too bad you get the venom that kills you quickly, and I get beaten to death. Kind of unfair." She complained humorously.

(Oh I'm full of ideas ;) )
"Guess she didn't hear me," Alexis muttered. She adjusted in her chair, and, sighing softly, placed her hands neatly on top of each other on the table. "So. What's your favorite color?" She asked, a very serious look upon her face.
------------
(Haha uh. Well if she can see him, he can see her, so he could also see the book. Kind of. :idunno  )

Zaine nodded, a slightly confused look in his face. "Hack a computer? What if we got caught?" He asked, concerned with the idea that she probably wasn't even serious about.

( Wonderful! Let them rip. )
Dimitri smiled at Alexis's muttered words. "She's too busy talking with Zaine, to have answered you, perhaps. As far as my favorite color......I'll have to say I'm partial to royal purple. How about yourself? What color do you fancy? " He asked equally curious.

( I went with it. No biggie. Lol! )

"So by that, I'm safe to assume you are not very computer savvy. Oh well, neither am I, but it was worth a shot. If we were caught, it wouldn't probably wouldn't have be very good anyways. Maybe if we ask Ione he'll order them for us. " Andorra explained as she peeked back around the bookshelf.

Sebastian knew that his personal ties with Ryker meant nothing. The only real use he served at this point was as an intellect and comedy relief. "Of course not, sir. I don't underestimate you, I overestimate myself. It's a bit of a bad habit." Of course he didn't mean anything he said. He knew his limits very well, having tested them on countless occasions. "Well..if you see my sister before I do, make sure to give her a WAVE." It was a pretty terrible pun, even for his standards, but one can't compare themselves to an ocean without at least one 'wave' joke.

Ryker smirked and shook his head slightly at Sebastian's flippant reply. "Better yet, I believe I'm far more inclined to sending you out with my team to collect your sister and bring her back here personally. Would that be more to your liking?" He asked sternly. He leaned back aginst the booth back and looked hard at Sebastian. " As you well know, some other matters need my full attention right now at this particular moment. I should be back in plenty of time to assess your sister's advanced state. I already have several serums that can stop further deterioration of the brain due to the rabies virus. That'll at least buy us some time to find an actual cure for the virus." He replied in better spirits. Until his phone vibrated heralding an incoming message. He picked it up and read it eagerly. As expected, the recovery team had successfully tracked down Aneurin's location due to his tracking chip. Ryker frowned at the total of the report. It stated that the two females were no longer with Aneurin. He typed his reply instructing the team to keep up surveillance until his arrival. That way, maybe he'd lead them to the others in the time it took to reach their location. But he had his doubts about thst outcome. That little snot knew about the tracking devices and had to have removed them from the females. Oh, when he got his hands on Aneurin, the devil would have his due. He thought as he pushed send on his message. He slipped his phone back in his pocket and pulled out his wallet to throw down a wad of cash to cover the food and a healthy tip for the owner. "Come on, let's go." He said as he stood up to lead the way out of the restaurant.

"Good choice," Alexis said, nodding slowly. "As for mine, it would probably be light blue, like the sky."
---------
"Nope, not in the least," Zaine chuckled. He pulled out yet another book from the shelf and flipped through it quickly, a slightly disgusted look on his face. "Yeah, maybe we should ask Ryker for something easier to digest. I'm not keen on reading rocket science after sitting through eight hours of it already."

"Well then, picky picky," Allen muttered. "How to solve this diplomatically. Hey, how about you just give yourself venom. After I get mine, of course," he suggested cheerfully.

Out of habit, Haley paused and looked behind them, scanning the woods for any movement. When she was satisfied that there was nothing, she continued on a few yards behind Amaryllis.

Amaryllis slowed her step, to keep Haley from falling behind. "All clear?" She asked humbly, knowing she wasn't quite so observent as Haley was.

"Good choice," Alexis said, nodding slowly. "As for mine, it would probably be light blue, like the sky."

Gathering her books, Cyra crossed the library following the voice of her friends as it led her around the corner of dimly lit bookselves. She stood nearby, waiting until they stopped speaking before greeting them.
