Amaryllis slowed her step, to keep Haley from falling behind. "All clear?" She asked humbly, knowing she wasn't quite so observent as Haley was.

"All's well," Haley smiled. In a few quick strides she was beside Amaryllis again. "This water looks to be narrowing," she said, pointing ahead of them. "Which is good for our feet, but maybe not so good for our cover. Hopefully we've traveled in it long enough to throw Ryker off for a little while."

Razeth paced in his cell like a caged tiger. What was Madison doing to Laurel? Would she be a bloody pulp when they got back? He thought frantically all the while.

Leverett turned off the highway and pull off the main road to an old railway bridge. He put the car in park and looked around cautiously as they waited.

"Good choice," Alexis said, nodding slowly. "As for mine, it would probably be light blue, like the sky."

"Nope, not in the least," Zaine chuckled. He pulled out yet another book from the shelf and flipped through it quickly, a slightly disgusted look on his face. "Yeah, maybe we should ask Ryker for something easier to digest. I'm not keen on reading rocket science after sitting through eight hours of it already."

Dimitri grinned and asked, "That wouldn't have anything to do with not being able to see the sky now would it?"

Andorra giggled softly at Zaine's jest. "Yes, I totally agree with that. I... Oh my gosh! There you are! Zaine, this is my roommate Cyra. Cyra, this is Zaine." She said in way of introduction.

Gathering her books, Cyra crossed the library following the voice of her friends as it led her around the corner of dimly lit bookselves. She stood nearby, waiting until they stopped speaking before greeting them.

Dimitri grinned and asked, "That wouldn't have anything to do with not being able to see the sky now would it?"

"Very likely. But, how was he to know which way we'd go?" Haley asked. She had been turning this, and many other questions, over in her head, trying to deduct and figure out the best plan for them.

"Well then, picky picky," Allen muttered. "How to solve this diplomatically. Hey, how about you just give yourself venom. After I get mine, of course," he suggested cheerfully.

"Okay, sounds fair." Yhgiilra said and smiled. "Alright. Now that we're done with the topic of planning our deaths, what else could we discuss? Fairies and unicorns? Also known as horses that just have an added weapon to stab you with."
