Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Elliot nodded, replied softly "I know how you feel. I have a sister. I saved her from coming here. That's why I understand."
Zoe nodded and reached over to touch his arm gently "My sister and I were all that we had, bouncing from foster home to foster home before we were captured. I got sick and she got changed without me then we were separated and the school people took her, maybe killed her for all i know. I was brought here to get better then changed with the new formula thing."

Allen ignored her now as he finally began eating. "So, Gideon, What were you crossed with, again? I can't recall if you mentioned it."

Haley sighed, slightly exasperated as he walked away. Not only did she not get he information she asked for, but now he was leaving. She turned her attention to her friend. "You're not interrupting," she said gently. "Are you okay?"
Gideon had dished him some food and came to sit beside Ashton. " A North American opossum." He replied eagerly as he looked to Allen happily.

Ashton took that opportunity to steal a sausage link from his plate. Gideon looked at her with a raised brow. "Hey!! There's a whole pan over there full of them, you know?"

"Yes, but yours taste better." Ashton stated matter-of-factly.

After a bit of the silent treatment, Vasper finally asked, " What was that back there?"

"Leave off it Vasper!!" Dyrus growled at the question.

"Do you know how many times I got shot at when I lived my time as a bear in the forest? At that time being a tabby cat would have been nice. It was during that time I realized how much hatred and angry humans have as a species, its why I stayed out there. You two are the first people I've really connected with since then, and I want to thank you both for being patient with me and for being so kind." Amara said thoughtfully absently rubbing her scar again. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad, she could rebuild her life her she thought.
" Trust and making friends is hard in a world of cruelty. But you'll find here we all have a commonality that binds us together closer than any others could ever understand us. I'm glad you took the step forward and approached us. " Dimitri replied honestly. He smiled pleasantly to Amara, " Your thanks is not required for our kindness. I'm glad to call you friend."

Laurel embraced him more affectionately, not wanting the moment to end, before unwantingly releasing him from her embrace.
Razeth immediately regretted the loss of Laurel's arm around him. But the sooner they got this done, the sooner he could be free of the Infirmary. He did however offer his hand to Laurel as the both stood up.

"You are so kind to me. You never make me feel stupid." Andorra said softly. She smiled slightly and looked down at the page again.
"Well, this is just a matter of a different style needed, not being stupid." Donella said and smiled at her "You can be smart and not understand something if it is explained in a bad way. I'm just glad my guard was willing to teach me so many ways to do the same thing."

Laurel accepted his hand, flinching visibly as his hand rubbed against her bruises. She said nothing, though, leading him after Ryker with a warm smile.

Lilith smiled, and kissed his cheek quickly. She said softly "And we can have a nice coop, and a nice shed. It'll be small and cozy." She smiled up at him happily, even though it probably would never happen. Lilith whispered "I know it'll probably happen, but we can hope." She grinned slightly at him, before turning around so she could sit to face him on his lap. She looked at him ponderously with her soft green eyes, radiating with affection for him. She giggled slightly as the wind blew her hair around in her face.

He chuckled slightly at her comment, when she turned to face him it took his breath away. By the gods she was beautiful and he so lucky for having her heart. He realized at that moment he would do anything for her, do anything to protect her, whatever the cost. He brushed the hair from her face and smiled at her. "Hope is good for sure. I do hope it happens if only to see you try and milk a goat." He laughed at her expression from his comment, no doubt she was mentally accepting his challenge. But his face sobered as he added to his earlier comment. "In all seriousness we do need to be careful now. If Ryker finds out about how much we care for each other, which he will we need to be ready. If he decides to use it against us, well I don't think I need to tell you what could happen. But I will do everything in my power to protect you from it."

Amara was surprised a bit by his reply although she probably shouldn't have been. He had been nothing but kind and genuine since she had met him. "I am glad to call you friend as well, probably my first and only friend in some time. Now that were friends and all I do wonder something, who do you think would win in the wrestling match your tiger or my bear?" She asked with a grin, a touch of her old humor slipping through now that she was more comfortable with him. And in truth she truly was curious who would win, and it was funny to think on.
