Anuerin felt a moment of relief, then moaned a little when a wave of pain reigned over him. Wearily he rested his head on top of his knees.

"Easy son. It's just the effects of the Venom and Anti-Venom fighting. Hang in there, I'll get you through this." Ryker said almost tenderly.

Zoe sighed then smiled at him and nodded "Yes, we will and for today the only thing to care about is us." She agreed

Elliot smiled back, taking her face delicately and bringing it forward. He put his forehead a bit above hers, before planting a soft kiss on her forehead. He whispered "I just met you, yet you're the person who cares about me the most and who I care about the most back." Others might've callen them stupid, and maybe they were, but he cared so much for her already.

Nova watched father and son quietly, biting her lip at the tenderness Ryker showed him. Why did he have to go and fight so much against his father when he clearly loved him?
