Nova watched father and son quietly, biting her lip at the tenderness Ryker showed him. Why did he have to go and fight so much against his father when he clearly loved him?

Anuerin opened his eyes slightly, focusing on Ryker to the best of his ability. Even in his somewhat conscious state he was surprised by Ryker's words, and the tenderness they were spoken with.

"Oh? So now it's fun? And for the record, it would be Amara's pun club for the vocally advanced. I took the liberty of naming it, I hope you don't mind." Dimitri said pleasantly.

"Too long a title," Alexis said, making a face. "Make it an acronym. Let's see, A-P-C-V-A. Apkevuh. Not bad, huh," she joked.

Zoe wished she could speak as sweetly as he did to her. She reached over to hug him close to her. "I feel the same, like we were meant to find one another and be together' She shook her head a little at how that sounded to her, but she meant it.

Elliot replied "I know it sounds stupid...we just met. But I already feel a deep passion for you." He looked her passionately in the eyes before saying "And I don't know if it's stupid, but I don't care. I love it." With that, he gently took her face and kissed her passionately yet carefully, putting one of his hands on her back and the other on her neck.

"Is it for that only reason that I'm still alive in your presence?" Allen asked, amused.

Atalanta, having been given her glass, skipped out of the dining room.

"No darling, that's the only reason why we're friends." Ashton stated with humor. " The still being alive as a side effect of that." She added thoughtfully.

Razeth smiled gently and looked as Alastor headed to the elevator with a wheelchair.

"I'm not very knowledgeable on this. So I don't know." Razeth replied honestly.

"I'm fine really," Haley insisted gently. She downed the water then went to a nearby sink to wash her hands. The cuts stung slightly, but they didn't bother her so much as the still red spot on her wrist. After drying her hands, she tapped the spot lightly as she thought, first about the argument with Anuerin then the venom.

Gideon came back with a bucket of mop water, a broom and dustpan. He then set about sweeping up the glass and disposing of it.

"I don't know." Anuerin hardly whispered, turning his head downward in shame to avoid his father's direct gaze. It was a lie, he did know. There were many reasons he did it, but he certainly didn't want to explain them to Ryker, especially at this moment, with Nova and Gideon listening.
