( That's exactly how I'd envisioned it too. )

"I hear that and raise you a stomach growl." Dimitri said as he took the lead as Alexis instructed.

(Then I shall remember that and not let any others lead me astray!)

Amara smiled as she grabbed her few pieces of paper and pencil, since it was all she had and followed him. She was excited at the prospect of not only food but of trying a new dessert. Although now as they entered the halls she stopped dead in her tracks as she panicked a little at all the people in the halls.

Victor replied, a bit annoyed, "I was joking Lucy...come on, you knew that."

"As was I," Lucy said. "Honestly, if you did get into a fist fight, I wouldn't just leave you."

"You two are in for a treat, then," Alexis said excitedly. After a moment she stopped and turned round to face Amara. "Do you like pudding?" She asked. Because if she didn't, she may not like crème brûlée so much, which would stink because it was darn good in Alexis' book.

Lilith looked back at him underwater in frustration. She quickly turned around, and using her force to propel herself out of the water, hovered above it, like a killer going in for the kill. Her metaphorical kill was right beneath her, and she dove downwards, skimming the water, softly touching him to rage him before flying up again.

Maddox laughed and fell back. "I give up!" He shouted, falling back into the water dramatically. He made a gagging sound like he was wounded and dying, although he couldn't hide his smile.

At first Amara didn't hear her question but her voice helped to snap her out of her panic a bit. "Um pudding? Yeah no I like pudding." She replied after a moment. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes before stepping forward. She fought the urge to run and instead followed her two new friends through the halls.

As she hauled him up to the surface he coughed dramatically. "I can see a light, its so beautiful, and there is an angel here, the most beautiful angel in the world. I must be dead. hold me beautiful angel I don't want to die alone." He said as he looked at her, as he pretended to be dying.

She whispered "Don't worry mortal. I won't let you die." She gave him a soft kiss, before looking into his eyes affectionately. Maddox was the light of her life.

Anuerin looked away, before reflecting Ryker's gaze. "When Amaryllis was in a coma I was so lonely. I didn't have friends or anyone to talk to. I was so afraid to be hurt again after what you'd done, I scared away the people who cared for me by being the very person that brought me bitterness." Anuerin let out a shaky breath; the words came easily after years of keeping them locked away, but it took courage to speak them aloud. "The only thing I could remember before Amaryllis fell into a coma was the extreme pain your experimenting brought her. I felt responsible. Protecting her from that point forward became my purpose in life; it was a way to compensate for everything I'd done wrong. When you took her off life support I realized I had failed to protect Amaryllis and beacause of that I'd sacraficed my wings in vain. I had one last chance to make things right, to save Amaryllis from this life, but I failed and in the process she was hurt. Ryker, she could have died, and I can't forgive myself even though she lives. I've lost meaning for life. Even the one thing I love would be better if I wasn't here." He concluded, his dark eyes sincere with the emotional pain he felt.

Amaryllis finished filling the plate with an array of foods and stepped aside to wait for Vasper.

Had that not happened, had it not been raining, she would be dying still. Stop blaming yourself Anuerin for the very things that have essentially made Amaryllis the woman she is today. Don't see her as weak or a victim, try seeing her as an equal instead. It may just surprise you how much she has changed, if you really took the time to talk to her." Ryker replied patiently.

Anuerin listened intently as his father explained himself to him, and nodded solemnly when he finished. "I.. I just need time to think things over." He admitted slowly, looking as if he was about to cry. "I don't know want to believe anymore."

"Very good," Amaryllis replied cheerfully, boasting a charming smile as she met his gaze after overlooking the plate of food. "Haley will be quite pleased."
