Ava went quiet, going to the window and letting him enjoy the painting in peace. She leaned against the side, looking out at what they could see

"Why do you paint?" Zaine asked, breaking the silence. He took another step back from the easel and looked to her.

Ava nodded and smiled "Yeah, the colors are much better with painting" She said, joking a little.

Zoe eventually came to the porch, pausing when she saw him then going to take a seat.

Elliot looked over at her happily when he saw her, motioning for her to sit next to him.

Isla walked to the cafeteria, a book in hand, and stopped in the doorway as to watch the other people in the room for a moment. She slid her sunglasses on over her eyes, though it was quite obvious she didnt need them because the room was already pretty dark. Isla put her hands in her jacket pockets as she walkee into the room. After getting her food, she found an empty table and slumped into a chair. Isla began reading a 'choose your own adventure' book, the words harder to read with her sunglasses on, as she ate her lunch.

"Fine and dandy," Atalanta said. She abruptly turned on her heel and walked away, calling over her shoulder as she went. "Any special plans for today?"

"Cafeteria's a good place to start, I should think," Lucy said.

Charles followed at a leisurely pace, before replying "Nope. You?"

Victor nodded with a smile and followed alongside her.

Dimitri replied as he sat down beside Alexis. "My dear Alexis, what you've so easily overlooked was in don't mind getting in trouble. I'm a trouble maker. Didn't you mother warn you about boys like me?" He gave her a smirk. He then got his crème brûlée and held it up, " I even eat dessert first!" He added excitedly.

Alexis frowned slightly at the mention of her mother. That was something that, for the first time in five years, she hadn't given much thought to. Maybe that was a good thing, that she'd settled in enough in this new location to put her past behind her, if only for the day. She pushed the thought away and returned to the present. "Looks like crème brûlée; smells like crème brûlée; but does it taste like crème brûlée?" She said as she eyed it suspiciously.

Andorra was quietly listening. Not that she did that voluntary, but her mouth was busy eating. She looked around her at all her friends. She wasn't daft, she knew they thought her to be annoying. But they liked her anyway. That in her book, made them more like family.

"You tell me......no, don't. Just let me live in blissful denial if it's not. I'll never know the difference. " Dimitri said as he took a big bite, he closed his eyes and moaned softly." So good!" He mumbled.

Alexis watched his reaction with amusement. "Dork," she said, chuckling as she pulled a fork from the utensil packet and reached for her own dish of crème brûlée.

Dimitri sighed dramatically and smacked his lips as he watched Alexis's reaction to the desert.

Amara watched the interaction between everyone while she shoveled food into her face. She snorted at the banter between Dimitri and Alexis, they should just get married already she thought with another snort. But it did draw her attention to her dessert which she had grabbed just like the rest of them. With the rest of her food gone she picked it up and gave a cautious sniff. It smelled good and Dimitri seemed pleased with it. She took a small bite and her whole face lit up, it was really good she thought. She also noticed Andorra was quiet so she asked her a question in an attempt to get to know her better. "So what is your animal?"

Amaryllis didn't hear Vasper's words as she stared intently at the door and waited until it was opened. "Where's Anuerin?" She questioned urgently, judging Ryker's expression before he had a chance to reply.

"He's sleeping. Everything all right out here?" Ryker asked curiously, while looking to Vasper suspiciously.
