Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Iris smirked, responding "I'm taking that as a win for me." She added in a less competitive tone, "But this was fun. I would be up for this another day."

Victor turned as she walked away, clearly distressed. He didn't want to upset her, but he let her go. He was confident that they didn't have to be killers, and that most of them weren't. He stood up and headed to his room. He would try to write some poems, he was now inspired from his former conversation.
(Do the kids have free on the weekends?)
Atalanta nodded in agreement. "Come on," she said, beckoning them to follow. "Last one there's a rotten egg!" She took off for the mansion with Priam, who had expected as much, at her heels.

Emily watched the exchange from the line. She was absorbed in trying to hear what was being said, only to be broken out of the reverie when a student behind her tapped her shoulder to get moving.

Lucy dropped her backpack on the floor near a closet door, then shifted and went scrambling up to the exposed rafters above. She still had a few minutes till she needed to be at her first class, so she decided to take every minute to sit by herself. Yes, she liked people, Victor especially, but this wasn't normal. It wasn't and could never be. What was Ioan thinking; they were all a lost cause.

Iris sprinted after them, complaining as she ran "You had a head start!" She quickly caught up to the two, then tried holding even pace with them until a final burst at the end.

Victor got to his room and unlocked the door slowly. With a sigh he sat down, pulling out a few pages of paper on his desk to write a poem. He knew he wouldn't be able to finish the poem before class, but he would start. As he set the paper in his backpack, a spark of curiousity was born in him. One of the outside world. If he was a real killer, would he want to kill the humans out there in the real world? Victor desired to know, and his urge for the truth would bring him to venture outside after the school day was over, he decided.

Leah pondered, before replying "Your hair is cool." She looked up to him, asking curiously "Is that right?" She was ignorant, but at least she tried to become better. She saw the huge mansion come into view, inwardly hating it. She preferred to be outdoors, but William seemed nice so she would have to make an exception.

William nodded in encouragement with a warm smile. "Yeah that was used right, and thank you I like your hair too." He replied with a grin. He noticed the mansion coming into view and realized they were already back, he found his water bottle where he had left it and got a drink before turning to Leah. "Hey I need to get cleaned up, all the sweat and stuff. I have absolutely nothing to do today if you like we could hang out later? Where can I find you?" he asked hoping she would agree, she was his new personal mission. Since she seemed to be doing ok around him he wanted to get her out of her comfort zone a bit.

Aquene responded quickly "Oh I'm not sad about it. I was just thinking." She commented "Thank you for your interpretation, it was very beautiful. I'll keep that in mind, and your name is awesome so don't feel bad about it."

Elijah gave her a smile, happy he hadn't offended her in any way. Then he got an idea, he held up his hand for her to wait and he shifted and climbed back up the shelf nearest her. He thought he had seen an old book covered in dust that had fallen behind the others when he had climbed down earlier. If it was native American maybe it was one she had not read before. He climbed behind the books and with a sneeze grabbed the book her was looking for. He carefully climbed back down and shifted before dusting off the cover, it read Cogewea, the half blood. He handed the book to Aquene with a small smile, "I don't know if you have read this one or not, but it looked forgotten up there. Some of the best ones are the ones fallen to the back that people forget about."

Willow growled at someone being rude to Adrian. "He couldn't have that bad of an anger issue is he didn't tear you a new one, regardless of if Elijah intervened. You have to be more careful Adrian. I don't want you fighting with anyone but me. My mighty stallion must have been feeling his oats." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck to kiss him lovingly.

Adrian rubbed his hand down her back as she growled trying to sooth her. He smiled and accepted her kisses, enjoying the feel of her before he pulled away. "I will be more careful I promise, and I don't want to be fighting you either, I would for sure lose those fights and I would never be able to live with myself." He smiled at her, brushing some her hair back behind her ear. "Do you mind if I bunk with you until I get my room situation settled with Ioan?"

Samantha gritted her teeth, but at the same time relaxed her stiff posture. So, he was a chatter, she was a listener. As long as he kept to semi interesting subjects, she could bear this interaction for a little while. "Ryker has done wonders for a few among us when it comes to the water," she said quietly, "though I'm sad to say I was not among them. But, I'm grateful for the lot I was given. I prefer the shadows on land than in the depths anyway." She turned the lock in her door and went in, heading for a nightstand where she retrieved an iPod wrapped in earbuds. A necessity for the gym.

Liam listened to her as she moved into her room to get her iPod. "Oh you must be the bat right? I was just looking at your file the other day, well if it is you, Harper has some new blood in for you to try next time you come around. When I first came here I had hoped Ryker would change me too, but sadly it doesn't seem that was in the cards for me. Maybe I just wasn't compatible with anything, or maybe he needs a simple human, who knows. " He chatted happily, he did wonder if that was a problem. He was well aware that he talked a lot and that it bothered some people.

Leah smiled warmly at him, before nodding a bit shyly. She said in her usually soft voice "I'll be in the woods near the cliff. Would that be ok?" Once she got his approval, she stood up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek three times, a normal Swiss tradition. She smiled shyly at him and turned to run off.

William smiled, "That would be perfect." He replied and then he widened his eyes as she stood and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He was surprised she was comfortable enough for that, normally he would have made some gesture to make it something more. But with her he was careful to not move, he guessed this was a big step for her so he didn't do a thing until she was done and turned to run off into the woods. He smiled and watched her disappear into the woods, what a strange day this was turning out to be.

Leah was proud of herself for taking that large step of friendly affection. She didn't know how much that meant in this culture, but for her it was like a hug. She realized she might be too much. But in the end, she had to be herself, and she was returning to bebthat cheerful but secretive person she used to be. She laid down on the grass near a creek in the river, sighing softly.

Aquene beamed at he sight of the book, responding "I haven't read this! Thank you so much, I've been trying to embrace my roots more and read stories, and I haven't even read this." She smiled again, looking up at him to thank him again. She held the book in her hands, adoring the old dusty treasure.
