Iris thought for a second, before simply asking “How about the pool?”

Victor sat down, responding with a smile “You’re a very controlling girl aren’t you?” He chuckled softly, smiling.

Atalanta brushed a hair from her face as she pivoted on her heel, facing the other direction. "Perfect," she said.

Lucy raised an eyebrow at him. "Not my preferred word, but i guess so?" She shrugged before resting her elbows on the table. Maybe she was just making up for lack of control in her "previous life". The few days she'd been here at the school had been her first ever for making decisions for herself. It was a strange freedom, perhaps one she was taking too much advantage of. She shook her head, surfacing from the rabbit hole her mind was going down. "Talk to me—if you want to, that is. Did you really go? Like go go?"

Victor asserted “I was just joking. And besides, that’s why you’re so fun to hang out with. You don’t back down, like when we played tag.” He studied her carefully as she thought to herself, realizing he could’ve been hurt by what he had said, then remembered how hurt she had been in the morning. Victor responded “Yes, I went to the city near here.” He paused sighing before adding softly “You weren’t ok this morning. Do you want to talk about it?”

William smiled at her giggle, he was happy she was opening up and enjoying herself a bit. He dribbled the ball a bit and ducked past her to try and make the ball into the hoop. Surprisingly he managed to get the ball in the hoop, he smiled and as the ball fell he tossed it to her since he made the first shot. "I honestly am surprised that worked."

Leah smiled, responding in a mock tone “I honestly am surprised that worked.” She looked at him happily, glad to be enjoying herself, which was something she had been afraid of doing for months. She started defending again, pressuring him so he would hopefully miss.

Iris nodded, heading to her room to shower, then but on bathing attire. She put on some shorts and a T-shirt above them, and headed outside to go to the pool.

Victor nodded, telling in a hushed whisper “It’s amazing. There are buildings so tall they hide in the clouds. And there’s cars everywhere. Oh, and shops, there are those too. They sell food, drink, toys, everything.” He paused, before adding with emphasis “And there are normal humans, hundreds and hundreds of them.” He hesitated, hoping her feelings wouldn’t be hurt, before stating “I didn’t want to kill any of them.”
