Anuerin quietly walked over to Amaryllis at Ryker's suggestion. "Amaryllis, do you want to stay awake during surgery?" He asked gently. "No." Amaryllis answered, loud enough for Ryker to hear. She wanted to stay awake, but she could tell by looking at Anuerin that wasn't what he wanted, and even though she didn't understand, she wanted to make him happy.
(Truth be told, I just want Amaryllis to be asleep so I can focus my creativity on Anuerin )

While Anuerin was distracted he filled a syringe with saline solution. He would inject that into Amaryllis to satisfy Anuerin. There is no need for her to be out. Plus the anesthesia would be in her blood. Not good.

Laurel rolled her eyes, knowing it was pointless to come up with a fake argument.

He got up to test the door. He held his breath as he twisted the doorknob and it turned. He looked back to Laurel and grinned happily.

Gideon looked up at her voice and sneaked in reply. What it ment, he had no clue. Yep, dumb animal, that's him. Man, he was such a liar. No wonder he was so alone. You couldn't get close to someone when you were shrouded in secrets. That's when he realized, she must not have read his file. It was all in there. Making a decision, he moved over a little closer to Nova and stood up on his back legs using his tail to balance him. He sniffed as he scanned the area. Mainly checking for anyone close by with his keen sense of smell.

Nova glanced to him when he moved then looked up to the sky again. They were alone out here for the moment, the reason she had come back outside in the first place.

William held her in the water, he had to admit he enjoyed this very much. He really wanted to give her a proper kiss, deeply and thoroughly but he imagined she was not quite ready for that. He pulled back and smiled at her. "Should we head off on our exploration?" He asked hoping that that would help him keep his hands to himself.

Leah saw his eyes, she gazed into him. She saw that look of craving in his eyes that she had seen in the eyes of the men that had captured her. He wanted her. Leah fought a two-second battle inwardly, warding off her inner fears. She realized that, frankly, those fears had to go or she couldn't be with William. She remembered all the things those men had wanted to do to her, looking at William as one of those men in fear. It took a second to look at William to realize he was far from that. He was the only one who had cared. She had been passed by person upon person each day, no one ever said a word. Leah sighed, looking deep into his eyes, before taking a leap out of her comfort zone, but it was one she wanted to take. She whispered shyly "I know you want to kiss me. I see it in your eyes." She paused, before she added meekly "You may..."

Gideon frowned at her question and looked to her confused. "Stalking you? I was trying to get away before you saw me. But then I got stuck. I was doing down that downspout, not up it." He said as he scrubbed his face with awkwardness. "Iook, I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret it. But we live here together, we're bound to cross paths eventually." He said quietly with a soft sigh. "Please don't send your boyfriend after me. One beat down is enough for me." He said as he turned to leave. He grumbled to himself as he kicked a rock across the way.
