Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(Thanks.)
William chuckled and gently moved her hair, smiling at her. "So what else would you like to do today?" He asked her curiously now that she was growing more confident in her own decisions.
Leah thought of all the possible things they could do, realizing that most of them involved being outside, but the day was growing shorter so their options were limited. She asked timidly "Well, since the sun is setting, we could either stargaze or do something inside? But I'm not inside much, so I don't know what there is to do other than basketball."

Vitor shook his head, wanting the game to be more entertaining by him not knowing exactly how to play. He looked at the board, before moving another piece diagonally. After that, he looked up to her, and simply waited for her to move her piece.
Lucy raised an eyebrow at him but didn't verbally question his gameplay. "The goal is to capture all of your opponents pieces," she said, without looking up as she jumped one of her pieces over his. She set the captured piece aside then folded her hands neatly in her lap. "And you can only move your pieces forward until they reach the opposite side." She only explained because she wanted a fair win.

Ellie shot a glare at Sam who was making it hard to ignore Nick now that she didn't have anything to do. She sighed deeply and turned to face him. "I'm Ellie." She said simply, she was not good at being mad at people, she didn't hold grudges but she didn't really want to shake his hand either.

Lyra followed her quietly down the empty halls, getting a bit of a thrill as it felt like she was breaking the rules a little bit. She shrugged her shoulders a bit as she looked to Alexis, "I don't think you will get on my bad side, I don't really have one in the first place." She said quietly with a sheepish grin.
Samantha turned her back to the two as she distracted herself with cleaning the table up. Not her mess, but it was habit, and she wanted to give Ellie time to get a few words in.

Nick smiled slightly at the speed with which she gave in. "Nice to meet you, Ellie," he said, dipping his head a tad. "I see you've had the pleasure of acquainting yourself with dear Sam. Or are you two already aquaintences? I wouldn't guess friends, because she's friends with no one." Samantha shot him a look, which he pointedly ignored.

"Everyone's got a bad side," Alexis said matter-of-factly. "It just might be harder to get to see yours. But that's good." She glanced over her shoulder to grin at Lyra. "Maybe you can teach me a few things about keeping an even temper."

Victor nodded, before eating one of her pieces, taking it for himself. "Like that?", he asked questioningly. He looked to her, his mind wandering off to the subject of leaving the school once again.

"Wait—there are tree spirits? That's a real thing?" Allen asked jokingly. Rubbinghis head, he turned back around to avoid further run ins.

"Please do, and take a picture for posterity," Haley said, chuckling lightly.
"Oh, yes. So caution is advised. " Ashton stated as she walked with him."I hope you didn't knock anything loose up there." She added with humor.

Dyrus grinned and executed a bow with a flourish of his arms. "Yes, my lady Haley. Whatever you require of you faithful servant." He said with an accent for good measure.

Nova startled awake at the sound and Leverett's raised voice. She sat up, looking around then rubbing her eyes. "What's going on?" She asked then looked to him and carefully moved to get up.
"Easy Nova. You've done nothing wrong." Leverett reassured her as he kept his gaze locked on Layla. "I can't help that you feel betrayed by this, Layla. But I was offering comfort to a friend. Just as I've done with you. I'd hoped that if anyone could understand needing an ear or just a sholder to lean on, it would be you. We are all adults here and I didn't promise you my heart......I only offered my friendship. Besides, Nova here loves Anuerin. So your jealousy is unjustly directed at her. I do hope we can all get along. I'm capable of more than one friend at a time. Thank you for for thinking of me and this food is appreciated. I am pretty hungry. " He explained quietly as he finally shifted his eyes to the tray and slightly scattered contents.
(Lol )

Layla turned back to him because she didn't want to see him hurt himself even more at her expense. She looked down at him in frustration, "What I think is I have no claim to you and therefore no reason to be mad, but for some reason I am mad anyways." She said in irritation more at herself then at him. "I brought you some food in case you were hungry." She said quietly as she tried to rein in her anger and unnecessary jealousy.

Layla felt even more irritated as his words, not because she was mad at him but because she was mad at herself. She knew everything he was saying, she knew he was not hers alone but she was still jealous anyways. With disgusted her. "You are preaching to the choir, I already know all of that. My anger and disgust is my own and directed inward." She said harshly then sighed a little bit as she looked at him. "You could never make me this mad at you, its only ever at myself. Sorry about the food, and I think I need to step out into the hall for a moment." She said simply, her voice strained. She moved out of his room and then the lab and walked out into the hall. She walked a few steps and then stopped and screamed in her own frustration with herself. When she had let it all out she slammed her forehead against the wall and took a deep steadying breath, Vasper had his work cut out for him if he thought to help her with herself.

Lucy gave him a thumbs-up, pleased that he was catching on, but slightly disappointed it cost her a piece to teach him. Oh well. "Yep!" She kept her pieces to the edges, where they couldn't be captured.

Ellie snorted in mild amusement and a bit of anger at his jab at Sam. But then again those two didn't seem to like each other a whole lot. And Sam had been poking her earlier so she dropped it. "No I just met her, we were having a lovely conversation about how nice her teeth are and how thick my skin is." She said a bit jokingly.

Lyra smiled at Alexis and moved to catch up a bit. "I certainly could try and help you with that, however I don't know what good I would be. I have heard its mostly temperament, but I would be happy to tell you what I know if you like. So how well do you know Zaine?" She couldn't help but ask as these two seemed to know each other well.

"Maybe I knocked something straight, ya never know," Allen joked. "'Falls down a well, eyes go crossed; gets kicked by a mule, they go back to normal'." She probably wouldn't catch the reference, but he could try.

Haley chuckled softly at his antics. "So terribly compliant. At this rate, you've got a lengthy list of attributes, the majority in your favor."
