Samantha threw up her hands in exhasperation before sliding her chair out to stand. "Given up on me?" she said, chuckling darkly. She wasn't necessarily angered, because she didn't consider herself a person who ever got angry, but she was definitely irked. "Oh please. Nick here can spin all the sweet lies he likes, but let me say at least that I was the one who did the giving up."

Nick flinched, just slightly, at her tone. "You make me sound like a compulsive liar," he argued, with a lopsided grin.

Samantha rolled her eyes as she stalked off. "Jerk!" She called as she left.

"Spoilsport!" Nick called back. Looking to Ellie, he splayed his hands out in front of him as he cleared his throat. "Sorry about that. She gets a little moody sometimes."

Alexis, with a bag between her teeth, nudged the sticks across the floor in front of her. If the couple didn't hear at all then it would be a miracle.

Ellie watched the whole thing in amusement and shook her head with a sigh when Nick turned his attention back to her. "Perhaps she does, but you also poke and goad her so I would say her reaction is fair. " She replied simply. "If I didn't know any better I would think you enjoy causing trouble."

Lyra started climbing back down the shelves when she saw a bag of cookies and stopped. Now those she needed, she moved over and carefully began pulling the bag down the shelf with her.

Ellie watched the whole thing in amusement and shook her head with a sigh when Nick turned his attention back to her. "Perhaps she does, but you also poke and goad her so I would say her reaction is fair. " She replied simply. "If I didn't know any better I would think you enjoy causing trouble."

Lyra started climbing back down the shelves when she saw a bag of cookies and stopped. Now those she needed, she moved over and carefully began pulling the bag down the shelf with her.

"She's a lot of fun to poke," Nick said, shrugging. He pushed off the table and started to walk away. "As for your assumption, stick around long enough and you'll find out." He wriggled his eyebrows at her then turned around to head to the counter for some food.

Alexis watched Lyra, almost able to see what was going through the skunk's mind as she spotted the cookies and headed for them. Alexis checked to make sure their stash was out of the light from the kitchen before stalking back to await the next package.

Vasper reached out to offer to carry the water for her as he used his back to hold the door open for them. "I'll take those if you want. He said with sincerity. ( I feel you with the fighting technology. My galaxy veiw still is doing the "Aw, snap!" Thing. )

Amaryllis thanked him and placed the bottles in his outstretched hands. Rubbing her cold hands across her pant leg she walked out of the kitchen.
(You remember a few months back when I thought the WiFi at my place was fixed? Guess what, it's not working again! I'll be writing a post and the internet will randomly crash.)

Asa stood stiffly from a couch were he spent an insufficient night of sleep on. He raised his arms over his head and released some tension built up in his back. Walking across the room he pounded impatiently on the door of both rooms. "Zoe, Elliot. Rise in shine!" He called in voice lacking enthusiasm.

Stepping up to the counter,
Priam handed a plate over his shoulder to Atalanta, then grabbed two more. He made his way down, carefully selecting various foods for the additional plate, ignoring the inquisitive looks his sister was giving him. He didn't care to explain as long as she didn't ask. Instead of their usual regime, he got his own drink, as well as one for Irene and headed not to a table but out.
It threw her for a moment when Atalanta stepped out of the line to look for him. He hadn't claimed a table for them and he wasn't in sight. Sighing softly, she took her meal and sat down.

Priam balanced the trays carefully, using his elbows to open doors and push the elevator button. He wasn't sure if he'd be allowed down, but when no one stopped him, he continued. At the door to the lab, he shifted the trays to one arm to knock, then stepped back to await an answer.

Zoe jerked open the door, looking at Asa then raising an eyebrow. She was already dressed for the day and mission, at least as well as she could be. She at least had slept well
