Children sharing food with chickens

[I MG]ht tp:// www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7080966/width/200/height/400[/IMG] My toddler son likes to crawl up the ladder and through the chicken door to be with his "buck, bucks." He even eats the table scraps I throw them. Is there any danger this?

Doesn't look safe to me. (Hope you are kidding about him picking up food thrown for the chickens and eating it.)

I'd be worried he could get hurt - pecked in the eye, scratched, fingers pecked, etc. Do you really want him sitting in the coop and eating scraps covered in dirty litter?

Might be better to teach him how to throw food to the chickens from a distance.

He's awfully cute and I would hate to have him get hurt!
