Children trespassing

The best thing to do is to call your home owners insurance and ask them if they advise putting up signs that say no trespassing and dangerous animal or something to that nature. That way if something does occur the insurance side of it is in line. I personally would put up signs and if a child came on to my property I would call an police officer to escort the child back to their parents with a stern warning. If you try taking them back yourself there's a chance that the parents will freak and say your trying to kidnap them or something. GL

OR...you could pen up just your rooster during ball season. The hens would probably love the break!

Just think....free ranging without having to drop and assume the position whenever he feels like it. I say, give the gals a break and feel better about safety issues by just penning up the bird.

A little wire and a BIG sign that says "electric fence"

You really need a fence, even if isn't electric.

OR big scary dog and an invisible fence. Might be better than a physical fence, if your dog will respect the invisible line. Some people on the next street have a Great Dane on an invisible fence. Scared me the first time I walked by!

if I were home when the kids were coming over. I would simply tell them not to and then why.
Better yet. Talk to the coaches or even better send a letter to the town or dept that owns and runs the ball fields stating that this is a problem and a potential safety issue. It's your property and they have no right to be on it.

If you dont want to be the witchy lady I can come and spend some time there. I dont mind the roll and am really quite good at it.
