A friend has offered to give me a dozen eggs to incubate. Does anyone know temp and humidity?

run it just like you would for chicken eggs -- just be careful when you mark your eggs - dont use alot of pressure you can break that tiny shell very easy lol

I have hatched buttons twice now both time getting 6 babies - they will start to pip and zip very fast and sometimes 2 will hatch at the same time LOL

be careful opening your bator lid these little guys are FAST even that small

and they only take about 17 days in the bator -

good luck with them

Thanks. And here I thought I was done hatching for the season.

Yes - they are VERY fast!! I built a wood frame (about 6 inches high) and set it around my bator so when I take the lid off, they are contained. Took losing a few to figure that out!

With the button eggs, take them off the turner (or stop turning them) on day 14. Increase the humidity just like with chicken eggs and they should start hatching late day 16 or on day 17. Have had some hatch day 19 but they usually tend to hatch quickly and alot at a time.

Good luck!!!

When they do start to hatch keep a close eye on your hatcher. Them little boogers can get into the darndest places and then get stuck.

I've never hatched guineas so I don't know if it's different or not, but if using a still air bator, keep temps between 100-102 and humidity at 40-45% days 1-14. Day 14 crank humidity up to 60-65%.

Thank you all so much. I use a hovabator genesis. I had great luck with it this summer.
