Chinese button won’t stop crying

I had two Chinese button quail together, but one recently passed. The remaining quail won’t stop calling for her friend. I have Japanese quail, but I’m hesitant to add the Chinese button quail to the mix. Any ideas on how to get her to stop calling/crying? I don’t want to get another bird.

Try putting a mirror in her pen.

Sorry for the late response. A mirror might help a little, but buttons shouldn't be kept alone long term, nor should they be kept with cots. So if you do not want to get another button, I suggest you re-home the one you have.
