Thought this was a neat pic. Both are 10 months old, Lucy just starting to Lay and Hopkins just normal, lol

I love the pictures of ur geese, they're in beautiful condition. The plumage of the whites is very striking. I wont comment about the foot but I can think of some great captions for that picture

Thanks for sharing

GREAT pics! I love the one where one has his/her neck over the other one. That needs a caption for sure.
They look to be in excellent condition. Very pretty.

I saw this thread before, but didn't notice that you offered one of the ganders your bare foot, lol.

Do the knobs on the gander's heads get bigger as they age? We have some Chinas at the lake I go to and their knobs are huge. I think they're so big that they block their vision.

Also, I noticed that Hopkins crossed his neck with Lucy. Is that a protection or dominance thing?

As for the feet I was actually sitting down and they just came over to investigate.

Here is what happens when you OFFER the foot -

And the crossed necks is a protection thing. Lucy is his girl , lol, and he doesnt like me near her. Dont be fooled though, she's the boss.

LOL, love that picture.

Thanks for the information. One of the two ganders at the lake will cross necks over the smaller one. The smaller one is the mean, vicious one and the bigger one seems to back him up and protect him, but is less aggressive. If I start messing with the smaller gander, such as when he bites or wing-beats me, the bigger one will back off.

Funny thing is that the smaller one never backs up the bigger one.
