Chinese painted quail/button quail really noisy at night

My hens always lose neck feathers when they set on their eggs. It must be stressful to sit on your eggs all day and make sure you turn them four times a day. The rooster will babysit his eggs (parent them?) while the setting hen takes meal breaks, or a sand bath. The rooster helps to keep the hatchlings warm and teaches them how to search for food and take a sand bath. I had no idea that the roosters were this paternal. But, my roosters are! They love their babies!

My buttons are noisy at night, too. I keep them in my bedroom and they are keeping me awake with their crowing, lol. I keep all lights off at night. I don't really know why they do this, either, especially considering they are diurnal.

My male buttons usually crow at night when their ladies are sitting on eggs. It's like they want to show off their prowess or virility lol Thankfully it's only once a night, and not all of them do it. Otherwise I would get NO sleep since all of them are in my room.
