Sorry, quick question. does anyone else have issues with chipmunks ?
these little buggers are eating me out of house and home. i can not keep the feeders full every day they just keep emptying them out. I have tried putting less in the feeder but then my fear is the girls are not going to get enough. I am at a loss. Any suggestions? I do not want to kill them as they are only doing what nature tells them they need too but need to figure out how to separate them from getting to the food dish.

If they can access the feed, they will. The only possibility I can think of is treadle type feeders that are opened when the chickens step on them.

Watch the kind of treadle feeder, most will not stop squirrels or chipmunks as the doors aren't spring loaded and they have big old honking treadle steps. The little rodent can stand on the treadle and push the door open. Read the reviews very carefully. Most of the positive reviews are from folks that didn't have a rodent problem, they just needed a chicken feeder and any will do. Read the negative reviews, those are the folks that actually needed to stop rodents and the product failed. A decently designed treadle feeder ought to have less than 5% negative reviews and those will be the crazy ones or the ones that won't follow instructions and are too stubborn to ask for help.
