chipmunks and chicks?

our yard is filled with chipmunks and i often see the chipmunks and my 4 week old chicks in the same bush together. the chipmunks never go to close to the chicks so i never worry about them but could a chipmunks ever do anything to my chicks (other then steal their food of coarse)?

Chipmunks are a menace to gardens and eggs, but I have never seen one attack and kill a live bird. Be warned that chipmunks breed like wildfire, however; if you have a lot now then you will have three times as many next year.
