Chirpin' in from South Florida

Hello,
I'm new to BYC myself, We are practically neighbors I'm in Jupiter farms. Congrats on all the new babies, as far as names do you have any favorite movie character names? That always works for me like Storm/ Aurora, Mistique/ Raven you could have X chickens Little winged super egg layers :). Just a thought it would probably make more sense if you have kids around the house too sometimes they come up with some cute suggestions.
I am almost done with my coop and run. I just need to reinforce the windows and door to help make it more raccoon proof, fingers crossed. Does anyone know how to find a little bit larger than a chic, chicken I'm trying to find austrolorp's, and jersey giants. I will try the Red Barn like SlowQueen did if no one has any suggestions. Congratulations again :) I cant wait till I have some little cherpie babies too.

Hi Trish!
I'm linked into a Facebook group called PBC Acreage Livestock, local folks are always posting what they have up for grabs so since you're so close you may want to try that. If you request to join the group PM me and I'll go accept the request. If you do come down to Red Barn give me a shout and maybe we can meet for lunch!
Love the idea of X-Names! We have a bunch of great suggestions so far but this is the first super hero idea, love it!

Welcome to BYC, SlowQueen! Love your user name and the name of your farm. You have a nice mix of good, hardy breeds. The Black Australorps are excellent layers (the other two breeds lay pretty good as well). Hopefully, they will all be hens (unless you want a roo). Good luck with your flock.

Alright
