Chive’s 2026 Project 365

This is a picture of a Great Horned Owl that I have been working on.
When I’m done I am planning on having it sent to an old friend that I haven’t seen for years.
Of course all of my nice drawings are always for other people. That’s actually really the only thing that pushes me to finish something.

Looking awesome so far! I love using Strathmore toned tan paper for colored pencils!

Thanks! I know! I absolutely love this paper. A lot of my best pictures have been drawn on tan paper, especially while using white charcoal in them. It’s one of my favorite ways to draw. ☺️

An addition that I added to the back of the greenhouse. They will be able to go in here and hang out during the day especially when there is snow on the ground outside. I can flap up the tarp on the back of the greenhouse in the mornings to allow them access to it without having to walk around, and close the tarp up at night so that no predators can get in.

A new incubator today! I decided to get a smaller incubator for the Button Quail eggs since they really don’t take up that much space. I took a bit of a risk in buying a cheaper one off of Amazon. So far it has been doing good and keeping the temperature, which is pretty impressive since our house isn’t exactly the warmest. It’s a little bigger than I though it was going to be, but it will be handy for any small batches of eggs that I have, especially if it’s just a few that will be hatching and I don’t have to dirty a big incubator.
