Use paper towels for the first day or 2 then switch to pine shavings NEVER use cedar

Because the oils in it irritate the lungs and skin of the chickens, I dont know if it is safe for a adult but if killed off some of my babies

Are you located in the US or somewhere else? For food you can offer it some scrambled egg if you have no chick food, but it doesn't need it for the first few days.

but some people say dont open, other wise othregs migh die

but gona ring perosn tomorowo and ask

also I dont think any other eggs have made an external pip

Leave the chick to hatch never try to open it no matter how tempting it is to pick off the shell 9 times out of 10 the bird will die
